Chimney Leaks
- Request proof of insurance, and before you sign a contract, look up the insurance carrier on Google and verify the insurance.
- Request a Scope of Work detailing your repair.
- It is always a good idea to know where your potential company purchases their material supplies. Your roofing materials should be delivered from the materials supplier.
- Check out their Better Business Bureau rating;
- Research their Google reviews. Look to see if their reviews were done in prior years;
- Warranty should be stated on the contract.

Soffit and Facia Repair

The soffit is the exposed surface beneath the overhanding section of the roof eave. We see either regular soffit vents or continuous soffit. Both provide air circulation. Moisture in the attic can cause mildew or rot in the sheathing and rafters. Proper venting prevents mildew and premature deterioration of the shingles.
The facia is the trim board that run along the roof line. It is a vertical finishing edge connected to the ends of the rafters, trusses, or the area where the gutter is attached to the roof. It is a cover for the rafters providing a finished appearance while also protecting the roof structure from weather and pests.
