About the Author

This autobiographical work was written years after Lucien, my-father returned back from WW2. My father experienced PTSD. He never complained but one day I discovered him at his computer so I asked him what he was writing about? To my surprise, he was writing about his journey before and after the war. I encouraged him to continue writing his memoirs. He finally finished and gave me permission to edit the work. I was very close to him and encouraged him to share his story. At Christmas in 1997 he shared the journey with our family. The manuscript laid dormant until recently. I want to honor his memory and decided to publish his work.
