At Minnie Street Aesthetics, we suggest that our clients avoid any blood-thinning medications and supplements for 48 hours prior to their treatment in order to decrease the likelihood of bruising UNLESS they are prescribed by your doctor. Please continue to take all medications as prescribed. Avoiding any alcoholic beverages for 48 hours prior to your appointment may also help to decrease bruising.
Avoid the following 48 hours before treatment:
• Aspirin
• Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
• Naproxen (Aleve)
• Garlic
• Alcohol
• Ginko Biloba
• St John’s Wort
• Omega Fish Oil Supplements
• Chinese Medicine

For 12 hours after your filler treatment AVOID:

• Exposure to extreme cold.
• Alcoholic beverages

Although some swelling, redness, itching and tenderness may be present for up to two weeks, please report any severe swelling, itching, redness, increased discomfort or discharge from the treated area to Minnie Street Aesthetics (507)254-7072.
Results are seen immediately and may last one to two years with optimal treatment, depending on the formula used and the area treated. Periodic touch ups can extend the desired results further.
Because swelling can last up to two weeks, if additional filler is desired, it’s best to wait this period of time before further augmentation.
The Juverderm collection of dermal fillers are composed primarily of Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring constituent in our bodies. This gel-like molecule is a moisture-binding ingredient that helps to keep skin plump and hydrated, supports the production of collagen, and maintains skin elasticity. In cases where dermal fillers have produced an undesired or harmful result, a reversal agent called Hyaluronidase can be injected into the skin to dissolve the filler. Hyaluronidase is a naturally occurring enzyme in the body that works to break down Hyaluronic acid, supporting its rapid and constant turnover. The enzyme catalyses the dissolution of the filler, reversing its effect without causing harm to the skin surface or dermal structure. Like any medication, there is a risk of allergy, which is why a thorough consultation is important before undergoing a filler correction procedure. It is important to note that for “permanent” fillers formulated with ingredients other than Hyaluronic acid, there are no reversal agents that can undo them.
At Minnie Street Aesthetics we utilize ultrasound technology to place the Hyaluronidase precisely where it needs to go.
