We Teach to Be Active and Creative

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always.

Fast Lane Swimming

Lesson Tuition

After nearly 15 years of teaching swimming I have learned that everyone is an individual and learns and experiences differently. It isn’t effectively possible to create a cookie-cutter curriculum and place each student at a point on the scale. That is why it is such an important part of my philosophy to treat each student individually and ensure that fun and safety are paramount.

So much of what is done in introducing, developing, and mastering the art of swimming whether it be for safety, fun, competition, or exercise is based on where an individual is both mentally and physically, and where they would like to be.

About Lane Martin

After nearly 15 years of teaching swimming I have learned that everyone is an individual and learns and experiences differently. It isn’t effectively possible to create a cookie-cutter curriculum and place each student at a point on the scale. That is why it is such an important part of my philosophy to treat each student individually and ensure that fun and safety are paramount.

So much of what is done in introducing, developing, and mastering the art of swimming whether it be for safety, fun, competition, or exercise is based on where an individual is both mentally and physically, and where they would like to be.

My philosophy is to establish at the very beginning what the goals are, and to maintain communication with the client, (and their parents) throughout the entire process, to ensure that I am catering specifically to each individual’s unique learning style and personality type.

    What Others Are Saying

“Previous water experiences & group swimming lessons left my son in an emotional state of trauma. My son was so devastated from even the “idea” of water, that he refused to go to pools, or if we managed a visit, would isolate himself to the baby pool section – he refused to subject himself to any future swim lessons, including private lessons.

After a year hiatus from water & swimming, we were referred to Lane Martin by another private swim instructor based upon my child’s specific needs. He has been taking private lessons with Lane since the summer of 2013. Right from the start, we found Lane to be a very qualified swim instructor & very patient. He possesses unique coaching skills which, to our surprise, has transformed my son’s significant fear of water into a desire for swimming in deep water! We are very thankful that my son’s increased self confidence and pride was nurtured by Lane. My son can’t wait to go to swim classes now – he even asked to double his swim lessons per week!”
    From Lindsay C
“Lane is simply…THE BEST! My 5 yr old has taken other semi and private lessons before and I saw little to no progress. With Lane, in just 5 lessons my son had a better respect for the water and was floating on his back (he would NEVER do that before). After 10 lessons he can do the back stroke across the pool and I am confident with him being able to safely get in and out of the water without my assistance. My son can’t wait for his next group of lessons to begin and after seeing his progress, my 9 year old daughter wants lessons now too!”
