Amy's WhimSiCal Gifts
Hello, my name is Amy May, and I am the Owner & Head Elf here at Amy’s Whimsical Gifts! I create and assemble all wreaths and bows myself here at my workshop!
So, who am I? Well, I am a wife and mom to two amazing kids and two miniature dachshunds plus a bonus mom to 4 great stepchildren. I have a bachelor’s degree in communication from The Ohio State University and a degree in Medial Assisting. I work for a large hospital system here in Columbus, OH, but crafting has always been my true passion. As a child, my very talented Grandma Betty passed on her talents for making many kinds of crafts. Over the years I have participated in many craft shows and had a successful business making girls hairbows. When I learned to make wreaths, I knew I had found my true passion! I love coming up with a theme for a wreath, seeing it come to life and then finding a home with a happy customer.

Everything I make is unique because I do not duplicate any wreath I make. This means that every wreath sold is truly original and something that sets me apart from my fellow wreath makers.
I am a big believer in “paying it forward”. For this reason, for every wreath sold, $2 is donated to The Zak M Davis Memorial Foundation which supports young anglers in the Westerville City School District who participate in that city’s 2 youth fishing clubs. This cause is near and dear to me because this foundation was started by me and my mom after my son, Zak, was tragically struck and killed by a car at the age of 21. This is our way of giving back to the fishing community that Zak was such a large part of. You can find more information about the foundation and what we do at www.fishbigzak.com.
